img_1362Last month, the WaterHub® at Emory University accepted the Water Environment Federation (WEF)’s 2016 Project Excellence Award – making this the project’s fourteen award win. As a globally-recognized water industry organization, WEF is dedicated to connecting water professionals and promoting awareness and innovations within the water space. [2] The award recognized the WaterHub as a project that “contributes to the sustainability of water resources and makes a profound impact on the future through education and engagement with water professionals.” [1]

The WaterHub was among many innovative, inspiring projects and individuals who were also recognized at the ceremony hosted at the 2016 WEFTEC conference in New Orleans, LA. “The future of water depends on more efficient and sustainable ways to manage water,” said Eileen O’Neill, executive director of the Water Environment Federation. “The WaterHub at Emory University is a fantastic model for innovation in water and the benefits of resource recovery and best practices to communities of all sizes.”
