Wastewater Mining Systems
Sustainable Water designs wastewater mining systems that extract wastewater from existing sewer systems for decentralized reclamation and reuse. These systems work in concert with municipal conveyance infrastructure and often provide benefits to the existing sewer network by relieving capacity constraints and minimizing the occurrence of down-stream combined sewer overflows. Mining systems are typically below grade and can integrate seamlessly into any project landscape or hardscape.
Screening
Primary screening is the first step in the wastewater reclamation process. Sustainable Water uses advanced screening systems, like rotating belt filters and micro strainers, to ensure efficient and automated solids removal, compaction, washing, and disposal. Our primary screening approach is customized to the needs of each treatment application, and our enclosed odor-free designs have been proven in densely populated, urban environments.
Equalization Systems
Equalization (EQ) is often an important component of successful reuse systems , buffering variability in influent flow and concentration. Sustainable Water draws upon extensive experience sizing EQ systems to fit virtually any commercial, industrial, or municipal wastewater source.
