October promises to be another exciting month with three opportunities to meet the Sustainable Water team at various events around the country. With the event season winding down we are thrilled to be exhibiting and speaking at three additional conferences.
Our first event is the 2015 COAA-GA Fall Workshop being held one day only on October 1st from 8:00 am to 6:00pm at the Loudermilk Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Construction Owners Association of America is hosting a unique opportunity to network with colleagues and learn best practices and help improve industry performance. The workshop promises to provide outstanding educational opportunities for Sustainable Water.
- We will be speaking about “The WaterHub® at Emory University – Turning Blue into Green” with Jonathan Lanciani, President and CEO at Sustainable Water, and Brent Zern, Assistant Director at Emory University. We will also have an opportunity to speak with everyone at an exhibit table shared with Emory University and cannot wait to meet you.
SRAPPA’s 64th Annual Conference for the Southeastern Regional Association of Physical Plant Administrators is dedicated to the operation of buildings on campuses of higher education. The theme for this year’s conference is “Riding the Winds of Change” and will take place October 10 – 13 at the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
- Our Director of Business Development, Scott Nelles, will be speaking on October 11th at 9:15am to discuss “The WaterHub at Emory University – Extending the Lifecycle of Water.” Joining Scott for this exciting event is Anthony Allard, Environmental Planner and Business Development Associate at Sustainable Water. Come see Scott and Anthony at Booth #87 to talk about how we are changing the paradigm of a sustainable future. It promises to be a “Red, Hot, and Rouge” of a good time in the Capital City.
Lastly, the AASHE 2015 Annual Conference will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center on October 25 – 28 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This conference is devoted to empowering the higher education community to enhance the world through campus change agents. Dedicated to the theme of this year’s conference, “Transforming Sustainability Education,” Sustainable Water is hosting two speaking sessions.
- The first presentation will be on October 27 at 9:10am with Brent Zern and Ciannat Howett, Director of Sustainability Initiatives at Emory University, examining “Emory University’s WaterHub – Using Water Reclamation to Shrink an Institution’s Water Footprint.” The second presentation is at 1:45pm the same day with Jonathan Lanciani of Sustainable Water, and Jason Gregory, Senior Educational Facilities Planner at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The second discussion will focus on “Georgia Tech – Leading the Way to Sustainability through Comprehensive Water Management.” We will also be exhibiting at booth #307 so stop and talk with Bob Salvatelli, Director of Sales, and Scott Nelles, Director of Business Development, where you can see our working models in action.
Along with the sea of tradeshows Sustainable Water attended in 2015, the WaterHub at Emory University won three prestigious awards throughout the year. First, the WaterHub won the 2015 Project Achievement Award in the “Infrastructure Private Sector” category presented by the Construction Management Association of America, recognizing the WaterHub’s construction costs at less than $50 million. Second, Sustainable Water received the WateReuse Association’s (WRA) 2015 Innovative Project of the Year for The WaterHub at Emory University distinguishing a unique, innovative project that is practical and implementable to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of reclaimed water. And most recently, the WaterHub at Emory earned the Liquid Assets Award at the 2015 Metro Atlanta Chamber E3 Awards. Within this award, the WaterHub shined for its environmentally conscious and technologically advanced design. We look forward to what next year brings for Sustainable Water!
