Last month, SW’s Director of Sales, Bob Salvatelli, and Emory’s Architect, Jen Fabrick, gave an engaging presentation at the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) Conference. With nearly 40 attendees, the 60-minute session provided insights to the multiple benefits of campus-scale reuse in higher education institutions, while also providing continuing education credits for eligible attendees.
Bob and Jen utilized Emory’s WaterHub as a case study for the presentation. They highlighted easy water footprint assessment strategies, comprehensive water management planning, and new best management practices for bulk water conservation. In addition, the duo evaluated the cost savings associated with on-site systems. Jen stated, “With growing water and sewer costs, [Emory was] at risk of tripling utility payments over the next 30 years. Spending millions of dollars on a liquid commodity is something an administrator to highlight as “Attention – here’s an opportunity!””
