With climate change becoming more and more of a global issue, activists are looking towards new ways to diminish its effects while also being conscious of our water resources. Current methods of cutting carbon dioxide emissions are extremely water intensive and will soon deplete our availability to this precious resource. The only way to truly decrease the impact of climate change is to plan and implement new energy choices that are less carbon intensive while also being water conscious.
When the scarcity of water increases, the cost of pumping and transporting it also increases. This means higher costs for companies and for our environment. Companies are looking towards moving to more renewable energy sources like hydropower systems to manage those costs. The hydropower process constantly cycles water, recharging the system minimizing depletion. We are more likely to build a more sustainable future by using a more comprehensive, long-term approach to the management of energy and water resources.
